Are you motivated by the responsibility to help enable our team to deliver for our customers every day? As a Workshop/Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you’ll be trusted with the responsibility of the effective diagnosis and repair of StarTrack heavy fleet vehicles and trailers to ensure team members in our facility and out on the road can deliver like never before. This position is based at StarTrack Tullamarine.

 

You’ll be  

  • Diagnosing issues and repairing heavy fleet vehicles and trailers
  • Trailer service and repairs under NHVR regulations 
  • Maintaining a high standard of record keeping 
  • Servicing FUSO and Mercedes Trucks 

 

Shift / pay details  

  • Permanent, full time
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7.30am start 
  • $38.35ph base rate
  • + 12% superannuation + Leave entitlements
  • + $17.50 per week tool allowance (basic tools)
  • Overtime (pre or post shift, as required)

 

About you  

  • You are a qualified Mechanic
  • You are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident 
  • You are flexible with working additional hours if required 
  • You have previous experience in a similar role 
  • Certificate III in Heavy Road Transport advantageous 
  • Heavy ridged licence advantageous
  • Forklift license is advantageous
