About the opportunity

Join our dedicated team at Wingfield and play a pivotal role in leading our fleet function. As the Fleet Duty Manager, you’ll oversee the operations across Pickup & Delivery, Bulk Fleet, and Trailer Fleet, ensuring smooth coordination and exceptional service delivery. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, you will lead a diverse team and contribute to our continuous improvement efforts, driving performance and operational excellence like never before.

What you’ll deliver with us

Lead and motivate a team of 8 direct reports, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the fleet across all areas.

Deliver on performance targets related to safety, service, productivity, and employee engagement.

Develop and implement strategies to drive operational improvements, enhance customer experience, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Report directly to the State Branch Manager and work closely with other stakeholders to align operational strategies and meet key business goals.

You’ll also

Oversee resource allocation and labour planning to meet site objectives and targets.

Lead safety initiatives and ensure a proactive safety culture within the team.

Foster continuous improvement by identifying and implementing productivity enhancements.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and results driven. You should have excellent leadership skills, a passion for driving team performance, and the ability to navigate operational challenges with a customer-first approach. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities while ensuring alignment with our safety and service commitments.

You’ll also need

Proven experience in a similar leadership role within fleet operations or logistics.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to build relationships both internally and externally.

Ability to analyse and solve operational challenges while driving continuous improvement.
