About the opportunity
The Fleet Control Supervisor will lead a team of team leaders and drivers to deliver against agreed budget and performance outcomes for the facility. This role is focused on delivering continual efficiency improvement in the pursuit of excellence.
What you’ll deliver with us
This is a role where you will see the direct positive impacts of decisions you make and action take on day to day basis. Every day can be different and you will get to use your problem solving skills to make a difference.
You’ll also
- Lead and actively participate in a culture of safety, service, and productivity
- Actively manage the fleet by allocating work, driving maximum productivity and maintaining budget
- Ensure all drivers clear their deliveries as per specified times and return tot he depot immediately via the most direct route
- Manage any delays or exceptions for further follow up and to ensure that safe and timely return of the driver(s)
- Respond to all enquiries in a timely and professional manager
- Exceed service expectations and maintain KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) in order to continually improve productivity, utilisation and efficiencies of all relevant drivers
- Ensure regular meetings are held with Fleet Manager to improve utilisation, productivity and efficiencies within relevant fleet
About you
You have a thorough grasp of fleet operations, focusing on optimisation and process improvement. You utilise strong leadership skills to motivate your team and foster positive change in the workplace.
You’ll also need
- Ability to effectively drive safety practices and procedures
- Exceptional customer service focus
- Operational decision making
- Ability to work within a busy self-directed operational team
- Proficiency in TEAMs, SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience in supervisory role and performance management, preferably in transport sector
- Strong familiarity with the road networks across QLD
