About the opportunity
Reporting to the ‘Finance Manager, Retail Operations’, your will be a trusted adviser to the General Manager of Retail Operations (and his leadership team), provide them with Business Planning & Transformation support to enable them to achieve their strategic and operational objectives. Success for the role lies in the ability to influence and improve the management decisions taken.
You’ll also
- Develop appropriate business reporting metrics to ensure appropriate funding for the units and provision of Finance services that meet stakeholder expectations
- Work with stakeholders and collaborate with other Finance Partners to produce high quality internal management /reporting (e.g. Revenue, BAU Costing, Investment Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting)
- Support the stakeholders to drive revenue and business efficiency to meet the stretch targets
- Assist the stakeholders with their key business decisions to achieve the best financial outcomes
- Provide financial planning & analysis to support and influence business planning processes and decisions
- Provide financial modelling & advice to support new product development and investment project decisions
About you
- 5-7 years’ experience in applicable business/functional domain related to finance
- Membership to an Accounting professional accreditation (CA/CPA) or equivalent Appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance and /or accounting or related discipline.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards & Corporations Act (particularly in regards to asset measurement and recognition)
- Experience with financial systems in a large organisation (e.g. TM1, SAP), together with high level PC skills (particularly Microsoft Excel)
