Description & Requirements

Help us deliver a better tomorrow

Australia Post is delivering for all Australians. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.

About the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team at the heart of Australia Post’s business operations. As Executive Assistant to three General Managers, you’ll be at the centre of a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment where your organisational skills, professionalism and ability to anticipate needs will truly shine. Our leaders are driving critical initiatives like never before, and this role offers the unique chance to support them with high-impact work that enables enterprise-wide success.

What you’ll deliver with us

In this trusted, business-critical role, you’ll report directly to three General Managers and work closely with their leadership teams. You’ll provide high-level administrative, operational and coordination support that ensures the seamless functioning of leadership activities. Success in this role means staying one step ahead – managing calendars, correspondence and business processes while being a reliable partner in helping the team deliver against its goals.

You’ll also

  • Proactively manage diaries, travel, meetings and communications for three General Managers.
  • Coordinate business rhythms and team communications, ensuring smooth and timely execution of activities.
  • Maintain and monitor team inboxes, prepare reports and support data analysis and presentation creation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across senior management and external parties with professionalism and discretion.
  • Manage business processes such as invoice payments, purchase orders, expense reconciliations and office administration.

About you

You’re a highly organised, proactive and discreet professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering seamless executive support. You bring a calm, solutions-focused approach to ambiguity and changing priorities, and you’re known for your ability to build strong, trusted relationships across all levels.

You’ll also need

  • Extensive experience providing high-level administrative support to senior executives, with strong calendar, travel and event coordination skills.
  • Exceptional time management and the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP and SharePoint.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement and discretion.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer service mindset and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, where we’re all ages, genders and come from all walks of life.
  • We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They’re the TIES that bind our team together.
  • Immerse yourself in the AP Way – where every single team member partakes in a learning module to help understand the vital role we play in delivering on our strategy and purpose.
