Description & Requirements

Help us deliver like never before

We’re looking for an Epic Owner for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, with potential to extend, to join our diverse, talented and innovative digital technology team who together are helping our customers and communities build a better future. Together, we design, build and maintain products, services and experiences that Australians love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post — and you could be part of that.

We're empowered to deliver for our teams and to delight our customers. We provide an inclusive and supportive environment that nurtures talented people, trusts our teams to deliver their best, and leverages modern work practices and technologies. It's an unexpectedly dynamic and collaborative culture that feels more like a start-up than a 213‑year‑old icon.

What you’ll deliver with us

As our Epic Owner, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering large, complex initiatives within the Australia Post App transformation. You’ll work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, Delivery Managers, Program Managers and long‑running agile teams to define, prioritise and deliver epics that align to our product roadmap and broader digital transformation agenda. Reporting into the Portfolio Delivery leadership, success in this role looks like navigating complexity, aligning diverse stakeholder needs, and driving outcomes at portfolio and program level.

You’ll also

  • Lead discovery activities to shape epics, define scope, and build compelling business cases from inception through to value realisation.
  • Break down complex initiatives into deliverable features and epics, contributing to portfolio planning, PI planning and delivery roadmaps.
  • Manage dependencies, risks and priorities across multiple teams and programs within a hybrid agile delivery environment.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Digital, Technology and the business to influence outcomes and ensure strategic alignment.

About you

You’re a confident and credible delivery leader who thrives in complex environments. You’re comfortable operating at the intersection of business and technology, able to engage senior stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and drive momentum across large programs of work. You bring a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic approach to agile delivery — understanding how to adapt frameworks to suit real‑world organisational constraints.

You’ll also need

  • Significant experience in senior delivery roles such as Epic Owner, Program Manager or Senior Project Manager within digital or technology environments.
  • Hands‑on experience working in agile delivery models, including PI planning and scaled or hybrid agile frameworks (e.g. SAFE).
  • Strong stakeholder management, planning and financial acumen, with experience managing complex dependencies and delivery outcomes at scale.

How we’ll deliver for you

  • The opportunity to play a key role in one of Australia Post’s largest and most significant digital transformations.
  • Exposure to cutting‑edge technology and enterprise‑scale delivery, with work that will leave a lasting legacy for millions of customers.
  • A collaborative, diverse and supportive delivery community that values learning, inclusion and sharing expertise.
