About the opportunity
This is a 12-month Fixed Term opportunity to join the Recovery & Health Team within Australia Post as an Early Intervention Recovery Advisor, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our team members to recover safely and sustainably at work. This is a highly visible and meaningful role that sits at the heart of our Early Intervention program.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, high performing team that partners closely with operational leaders, health professionals and safety specialists to ensure our team members receive timely care, clear medical guidance and suitable duties that support optimal recovery.
Note that this role has been advertised in Victoria however we are open to application nationally (NSW, WA, QLD, SA, TAS)
What you’ll deliver with us
You’ll be the primary point of contact for injured team members, People Leaders and treating practitioners, ensuring early intervention pathways are activated quickly and effectively. Your impact will be seen in sustainable recovery outcomes, streamlined case progression and strong stakeholder engagement.
You’ll also
- Triage and manage workplace injuries under the Early Intervention framework, by proactively assessing support needs and coordinating services, and facilitating early, safe return to work.
- Liaise with doctors, physiotherapists, allied health professionals, workplace managers and claims managers to coordinate effective recovery strategies.
- Oversee and monitor the performance and compliance of external Approved Rehabilitation Providers in line with legislative and organisational standards.
About you
You’re a proactive, solutions focused professional who thrives in a fast paced, customer centric environment. You bring sound judgement, resilience and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
You’ll also need
- Proven experience managing complex injury portfolios and delivering sustainable return to work outcomes.
- Allied health background preferred, with relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
- Experience applying best practice Early Intervention models to improve injury management outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across employees, unions, leaders and medical providers.
- Sound judgement, clear communication and the ability to analyse complex matters and implement practical solutions.
