About the opportunity
As a Data Solutions Analyst in our Network Analytics team, you’ll play a key role in turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive smarter decisions across our deliveries business.
You’ll design, develop, and maintain analytics-ready datasets and scalable data solutions that enable reporting, dashboards, and planning tools. Partnering with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and fit for purpose - improving efficiency, data quality, and performance.
With a strong focus on governance and scalability, you’ll help keep our data infrastructure robust and adaptable to changing business needs, while upholding the ethical standards and values of Australia Post, fostering a safe, customer-focused, and wellbeing-driven workplace.
What you’ll deliver with us
As a Data Solutions Analyst, you’ll play a key role designing, developing, and maintaining analytics ready datasets and scalable data solutions that bridge the gap between raw data and usable insights, which drives strategic decisions across our deliveries network. You’ll work closely with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure our data is reliable, scalable, and aligned to business needs enabling smarter, faster, and more efficient operations.
You will:
- Proficiency in designing and maintaining scalable data models and analytics-ready datasets within Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience with BigQuery ML to develop, train, and deploy machine learning models using SQL.
- Hands-on skills in building data pipelines using tools like BigQuery, Airflow, and Git to support reliable and automated data workflows.
- Enhance data quality and governance through automated testing, documentation, and best practice data modelling.
- Use problem-solving methods (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, DMAIC) and advanced analytics to uncover performance drivers and support business decision-making.
- Collaborate across teams to support reporting, dashboard development, and a data-driven culture aligned with safety, customer focus, and innovation.
About you
You’re a detail-oriented and collaborative data professional with a passion for turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. You bring strong technical capability, a sharp analytical mindset, and a practical understanding of logistics or supply chain operations. You're confident working independently or in a cross-functional team and thrive in a fast-paced, outcomes-focused environment.
You’ll bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in data analysis, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or network operations.
- Technical proficiency across GCP and more (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Dataform, BigQuery ML, Python, BigQuery SQL, Composer/Airflow, Tableau, Excel, Git, Jira, and Confluence).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights and influence decision-making.
- A collaborative mindset, capable of working across teams, managing stakeholder needs, and supporting continuous improvement in a complex enterprise environment.
