We’re delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride
Help us deliver like never before
We’re hiring a Configuration System Specialist to support and enhance our Configuration Management capability by ensuring CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and Asset Database toolsets, data structures, and relationships are accurate, reliable, and aligned to defined policies and procedures. In this role, you’ll partner with IT and business teams to maintain critical CMDB relationships, build organisation wide understanding through proven methodology and coaching, and work closely with IT Change Management to reduce change risk by ensuring CMDB data underpins effective processes and risk management techniques across the change lifecycle.
This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in strengthening configuration management by ensuring accurate CMDB and asset data that supports effective change, risk, and decision making across the organisation.
What you’ll deliver with us
- Maintain, govern, and audit the CMDB and AMDB data structures, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance with Configuration Management policies.
- Support continuous process improvement by ensuring the CMDB/AMDB toolsets, structures, KPIs, and governance practices enable effective service delivery.
- Produce and maintain documentation, training materials, knowledge articles, and deliver training or presentations to uplift capability across the user base.
- Manage bulk data processing activities and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to enable accurate billing, reporting, and configuration process improvements.
About you
You bring hands on experience in IT Service Management practices, with a strong understanding of CMDB concepts and Technology Configuration Management in large, complex IT services environments. You have practical experience supporting and maintaining service management toolsets such as ServiceNow, including database application support, CMDB relationships, and the scheduling of change and release implementations, alongside a sound working knowledge of IT Change Management.
Technically capable, you are comfortable working with JavaScript and MySQL databases. You have completed ServiceNow System Administration training and hold ITIL Foundation certification. With proven experience building effective customer and business relationships, you communicate confidently and clearly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including service owners, delivery teams, vendors, and managed service providers.
