About the opportunity
Reporting to the ‘Head of Group Compliance Programs’, your role is critical to the effective dialogue with senior stakeholders around compliance awareness, governance, and oversight.
The Compliance Program Manager for the Competition and Consumer Law compliance program, has the responsibility for taking the group program into the next phase of compliance management by successfully engaging with 1st line stakeholders to actively understand, manage, and report on their compliance risks within the programs.
Acting as an independent adviser and subject matter expert, you will collaborate with business units and stakeholders to provide value-add insight and advice that is relevant, commercial, and strategically oriented to assist Australia Post in managing its compliance risks in relation to the group-wide compliance programs, in accordance with the Group Compliance Management Framework.
You’ll also
- Develop, review, implement and maintain compliance program policy (as appropriate) in accordance with the Policy Governance Framework and Risk Appetite Statement
- Ensure all obligations on Australia Post Group (APG) relevant to the program are accurately documented, up-to-date and communicated as necessary across the organisation
- Oversight and monitor of control environment relevant to the program’s obligations
- Develop, implement, maintain and report upon group compliance controls relevant to the program
- Monitor and provide comfort that obligations are known and are effectively managed within appetite
- Facilitate, monitor, and provide pragmatic and innovative advice on compliance while meeting our existing and emerging obligations effectively and efficiently both domestically and for our international operations
- Identify, report, and ensure timely and appropriate remediation of any compliance incidents or breaches relevant to the compliance program
- Ensure that APG has appropriate and accurate reporting processes in place in relation to the program, including but not limited to, any regulatory reporting that is required
About you
- Experience in interpretation and application of Competition & Consumer Law in complex corporate setting
- Graduate of Law, Accounting, Finance or commensurate qualifications/ experience
- Experience in compliance management across complex corporate and organisational contexts
- Great understanding of risk and controls methodology and approaches
- Previous experience working within a complex environments with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor to the senior business stakeholders to ensure the right conversation on compliance matters occurs
