About the opportunity
This is an opportunity to join Australia Post’s Corporate Communications team, supporting strategic communications for Enterprise Services, our Technology, Data and AI business unit. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will help deliver clear, effective communications that connect our people to key business priorities, major transformation programs and the future direction of Australia Post.
In this two-year fixed-term role based in Richmond, Melbourne, you will work closely with senior leaders across Enterprise Services to turn complex technology, data and business priorities into communications that are clear, consistent and engaging. You will partner with stakeholders across the business, support leadership communications, develop content across multiple channels and contribute to key events including Town Halls and leadership forums.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Senior Communications Manager to plan, develop and deliver communications for Enterprise Services.
- Develop communication plans, messages and content that support strategic priorities, transformation programs and leadership engagement.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, project teams and communication colleagues across Australia Post.
- Translate complex technology, data and AI initiatives into clear, relevant and engaging communications for internal audiences.
- Create written, visual and multimedia content for a range of channels, including digital, video and leadership communications.
- Support key internal events, including Town Halls and leadership forums, through planning, messaging and content development.
- Identify and develop stories that showcase the work, impact and people of Enterprise Services.
About you
You are an experienced communications professional with strong judgement, excellent writing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships in a complex organisation. You are confident working with senior stakeholders, comfortable managing competing priorities and able to turn business priorities into communications that are simple, purposeful and effective.
You will bring:
- Experience in corporate, internal or business unit communications within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong experience developing, delivering and evaluating communication plans that support business priorities and change initiatives.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information without losing meaning.
- Experience creating content across a range of channels, including digital, visual and video communications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, advise and collaborate with senior leaders and business partners.
- Strong planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight timeframes.
- Experience or interest in technology, data, AI, retail, logistics or transformation environments will be highly regarded.
