About the opportunity

Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? Join our Freight Services team as an Analytics Business Specialist on a 12-month contract and play a pivotal role in driving data-led decisions that enhance our operational performance and customer value propositions. This team is at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions and improving customer engagement like never before.

What you’ll deliver with us

As an Analytics Business Specialist, you will translate high-level business imperatives into clear, actionable business requirements that support our Business Intelligence (BI) and Applied Analytics initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Intelligence & Applied Analytics, you will work closely with commercial, operational, and strategic stakeholders to distill business objectives into analytical priorities. Success in this role means leading the curation and transformation of data into meaningful insights that drive automation, improve operational performance, and enhance commercial outcomes.

You’ll also…

  • Lead the scoping and articulation of business requirements and user stories, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment.
  • Develop and deliver AI-enhanced dashboards, models, and tools that enhance internal and customer-facing digital experiences.
  • Act as a business translator between analytics developers, data engineers, and operational stakeholders to ensure delivery of relevant, usable, and high-impact solutions.

About you

You are a strategic thinker with a passion for data and analytics. You thrive through complexity and have a knack for translating complex business objectives into actionable insights. Your strong business and commercial acumen, combined with your ability to manage relationships in matrix organization structures, makes you an ideal fit for our team. At Australia Post, we value curiosity, inclusivity, and a drive for results, and you will embody these traits.

You’ll also need

  • Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, Strategic Insight, or Data Enablement.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
  • Advanced skills in managing relationships in matrix organization structures and operating at varying levels of stakeholders, including C-Level.
