About the opportunity  

Working within our Freight services team, as Analytics Solutions Lead, you will collaborate with both business and data teams to understand the business challenges and identify where data driven solutions can be provided to achieve better outcomes. As part of this role, you will provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders, assisting in strategic planning and addressing intricate challenges to support the overall objectives and adjust to changes within the organisation.

 

What you’ll deliver with us  

You will support our drive to enable data driven insights across our Freight portfolio to inform product strategy, pricing and management. You have the opportunity to bring expertise to support moderninisng our data landscape through establishing foundational data capabilities and creating advanced analytics products to support our Freight vision and achieve market leading data and analytics capability.

You’ll also   

  • Have ownership of analytical solutions from requirements through to delivery
  • Owning the performance of your analytics solutions by defining success criteria with stakeholders, monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, driving continuous improvement and overall being obsessive about the quality and impact of your services to ensure business outcomes
  • Develop and implement pilot initiatives and analytical solutions, test and refine for effectiveness and relevance.
  • Help modernise our data environment, establish foundational data capabilities, and create advanced analytics products to support our freight vision and achieve market leading data and analytics capability
  • Influence at all levels of organisation, helping stakeholders understand current state and potential data driven solutions to help gain and maintain the buy in.
  • Support the delivery of strategic insights, support the definition of the future state solutions & tooling, FS strategy, design, policies, framework

 

About you  

You are someone who has hands on experience in either data engineering or data science with high level interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation. You have great business and commercial acumen, with demonstrated experience in successfully delivering strategic analytic projects from conception to implementation with realization of tangible benefits.


 You’ll also need
   

 

  • Proficient in programming languages and tools used for data analysis and processing such as SQL, Python, CI/CD deployments
  • Highly developed data literacy skills with demonstrated proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, data warehousing and modelling best practices, and high availability analytics testing to ensure optimum performance levels, with the ability to design effective training material which promotes knowledge sharing and uplifts the data and analytics maturity of the team
  • Demonstrated experience in program delivery with clear objectives and quantifiable success measures.
  • Proven experience in facilitating analytics workshops that have contributed to major change programs, strategic developments or initiatives via the provision of analysis and insights which inform organisational objectives.
  • Experience in the Supply Chain and Logistics industry including knowledge of key market drivers, competitor intelligence and domestic and overseas trends as related to the Freight Services business.
