In this role, only available internally, you can develop within Australia Post Group as a medium business account manager. Reaching new heights of service and delivery in a team of professional and supportive account managers, with an empowering and experienced manager who will give you the tools to succeed.

About the opportunity 

In this role you will develop and grow your career by managing 40-60 of our most important medium business accounts face to face, you will be in the field delighting our customers and helping build a sustainable business. This is an account development and an account management position where you will commercially grow the size of accounts in your portfolio, as well as solving client problems.

You will have end to end ownership of customer accounts including operational efficiency identification and resolution, relationship management, financials, driving sustainable growth and identifying opportunities for cross sell for other products. 

You will develop and drive a strategic approach to account planning for your portfolio and you will be accountable for building senior relationships within your clients, you will collaborate with other parts of Australia Post’s business to deliver solutions that delight your customers and provide industry leading service solutions. 

What you’ll deliver with us 

You will operate as a customer custodian of the clients that are in your portfolio, ensuring that they feel seen and that they are experiencing the highest level of our service. You will identify opportunities for us to grow sustainably and for us to achieve revenue targets commercially. 

You’ll also  

  • Manage customer relationships leading regularly planned sales and service meetings face to face to explore business opportunities, identify pain points and ensure an excellent customer experience. 
  • Engage customers on key retention activities throughout the lifecycle of the customer contract. Conducting price reviews and reviewing surcharge compliance. 
  • Delight our customers by delivering a seamless experience co-ordinating engagement and interaction between the customer and Australia Post’s specialists across all activities. 
  • Maintain transparency and integrity of salesforce data, ensuring all information is recorded accurately.  

About you 

You will be a driven person with exposure to business to business sales processes and customer facing experience, you will have a good understanding of how our network operates.

You will be an ethical salesperson, focused on brining an honest, transparent approach to your clients, your colleagues and the Australia Post business.  

You’ll also need  

  • An outlook of resilience and perseverance to hit goals and solve problems for the customer. 
  • A growth mindset and experience surpassing stretch goals. 
  • An ability to develop a long term trusted advisor relationship with senior stakeholders within our business and within clients.
