About the opportunity  
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our Medium Rigid Truck Driver in our Townsville team based StarTrack facility, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!  

This is a permanent full time opportunity working Monday to Friday, paying $31.26/hr + super and overtime rates.

You’ll be

• Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries with teammates at the facility  
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check   
• Driving our modern trucks between our commercial, industrial and residential customers, for deliveries and pick-ups   
• Providing an engaging customer experience representing StarTrack, AusPost Group
• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups and complete the days activities

About you    

You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.  

You’ll also need to 

• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident  
• Hold a Medium Rigid license   
• Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck up to 30kg
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility  
• Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills  
• You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
• Be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening, national police checks and a driving assessment  

• Drive our iconic fleet and benefit from competitive delivery driver rates while operating in a safe and inclusive working environment
