Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic trucks to deliver for customers? As our Seasonal Casual Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities during our busiest time of the year. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
You’ll be
- Safely loading/unloading your truck with cages for delivery
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
- Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups
About you
- You’re available to work from September/October, through our peak period
- You hold a relevant heavy vehicle license (HR/HC)
- You’re safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
- You have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
- You’re fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights
- You’re prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
How we’ll deliver for you
- You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people
- A higher rate of pay apply for applicable shifts (penalty rates) - AM shifts $41.02 (15% loading), PM shifts $46.37 (30% loading).
- You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
- We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
