About the opportunity
The Strategic Learning Partner is a critical role in developing and enabling the learning strategy and delivering on strategic priorities within the Retail, Brand & Marketing business unit. The Strategic Learning Partner is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to understand their needs and develop an integrated learning plan for the Retail network. There is a strong focus on supporting field teams with the capabilities needed to be successful in their roles – both for ensuring immediate needs are met, and that future needs are proactively developed.
The role is responsible for conducting needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of a range of capability solutions. Critical to success in these areas will be exceptional business partnering, stakeholder engagement, and SME support. The role will have close working relationships with the Capability CoE, field operation leaders, and central operations teams. Human-centered design, customer obsession, agile ways of working, and continuous improvement will be inherent competencies for this role, collaboration with others, and overall delivery within the team.
This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Stakeholder engagement and business partnering with field operations leaders, centres of excellence, central operations teams, and external vendors.
- SME support for various transformational and operational project and change initiatives.
- Conducting Business Unit (BU) level technical and role-based capability development, including:
- BU level needs analysis
- Development of BU capability strategies and plans, incorporating CoE leadership, behavioural, and compliance-based learning
- Oversee the design of solutions, tools, and relevant content working closely with the instructional designer and implementation lead
- Manage the learning evaluation and reporting process for BU level programs, in line with CoE standards
- Design, develop, and maintain the BU and role/technical based components of the Retail induction and onboarding program.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions and using this data to inform continuous improvement for programs and initiatives.
- Managing relationships with external vendors.
About you
You are collaborative, humanistic, and authentic in your approach. Creating learning experiences, development programs, and team environments that enable people to bring their full-self and to thrive are second nature to you. You are comfortable partnering with various stakeholders as a senior learning and capability specialist. You are comfortable working strategically and, equally, can run with operational needs end-to-end. You are familiar with a variety of learning, project management, and change tools/methodologies to support end-to-end learning design, delivery, and evaluation. You are comfortable using data to inform decisions, insights, and action. You are a natural coach and enjoy working in collaboration with your peers, stakeholder group, and wider network. People and community outcomes are a key motivator for you. Working within and supporting transformation and change within a national distribution network sparks your interest!
What are we looking for?
- Qualification and/or at least 5+ years’ experience in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organisational Development, or similar field
- Experience building both technical and leadership learning experiences is an advantage
- Excellent written and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and problem solve
