About the opportunity  
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced strategic Business Partner to join one of Australia’s top employers. This role provides partnering at General Manager and large-scale operational leader level to develop and deliver strategic initiatives reflective of the business needs and work collaboratively with other areas of P&C to facilitate effective service delivery. 

What you’ll deliver with us  
You will partner within our Network Operations Division, which is at the heart of Australia Post and with more than 25,000 team members, encompasses all our processing, transport and delivery functions. As one of the largest employers and logistics operators in Australia, Australia Post offers incredible scale and scope in which to play a part in transforming an iconic Australian enterprise. 

You’ll also   

  • Build strong relationships and partner with Leadership Team (s) to develop and deliver the People Plan that supports the successful implementation of the Post 26 Strategy
  • Develop people and culture initiatives which run across multiple business units
  • Partner with the leadership team(s) to strategically deliver the talent agenda
  • Coaching, enabling and supporting senior leaders to drive the change and transformation required and ensure the business is performing and delivering the right outcomes through their people and engaging with the respective stakeholders (eg: Unions)
  • Lifting leadership capability and culture to drive a high-performance culture and engagement including building capability, and importantly enhance our culture in line with the AP Way GPS
  • Using people & culture technology and analytics to provide insights and action to support the improvement and delivery of business results
  • Partnering with the Leadership Team to manage risks (e.g., safety, industrial relations, talent), in conjunction with experts from the People & Culture function

About you  
 Reporting into one of our Head of People & Culture – Network Operations, you will join a passionate, committed and close-knit team of three who are each aligned to support specific business leaders. We are seeking an engaging individual who has had exposure to retail, transport, logistics and/or other operational environments over the course of their career.

You’ll also need   

  • Previous Experience building strong relationships, coaching and influencing Senior Stakeholders (General Managers)
  • Proven track record leading organisational people and culture initiatives in large complex organisations
  • The ability to build strong relationships across People and Culture to align business solutions to the People and Culture strategy
  • Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate well with all levels of the organisation
