Description & Requirements

Help us deliver Christmas for Australia

Ever wanted to be part of the team keeping the cogs of our delivery business turning? Join us as a Seasonal Casual Freight Handler to help sort and load the parcels our drivers deliver to your local community. If you enjoy variety, then this combination operations role is one for you.

You’ll be

  • Hand-loading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road
  • Loading and unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse
  • Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.

 About you

  • You're available to work from mid-September, through our peak period
  • You can work between the hours 3pm - 11pm, Mon-Fri
  • You’re fit and can lift at least 30kg repeatedly – we assess this at an Australia Post pre-employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job
  • You’re also an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes in handy moving freight around the warehouse

How we’ll deliver for you

  • You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people
  • A higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates)
  • You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
  • We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
