About the opportunity    

An ER Specialist is a key role within the Case Management team, that provides guidance, support, investigation and representation on complex and medium/high risk cases, queries and investigations raised through the Employee Relations team or People Services. They are responsible for the coordination, tracking and completion of cases with leaders, case management personnel and legal teams. 
Role is open to those based in Brisbane or Melbourne.

What you’ll deliver with us  

The core purpose of this role is to conduct case management and coordination of all activities associated with employee-based investigations including Harassment Discrimination Bullying, Whistleblower, Managing Director Complaints, Alcohol and Drug escalations and standard ER case investigations. 

You’ll also   

  • Be responsible for case management and supporting investigations for people leaders and employees 
  • Provide expert advice, case coordination and review of recommendations for all ER activities, including providing feedback to improve knowledge, and resolving any issues identified through the process
  • Alignment to the investigations framework and toolkit that ensures investigations in relation to alleged misconduct are trauma-informed, human centric and conducted to the highest standards of procedural fairness
  • Provide targeted interventions and support offerings to identified areas of the business requiring further support and advice on matters

About you  

You will be someone with a high level of influencing skills to ensure resolution is reached when managing cases. You will also be able to demonstrate how attention to detail is a key trait of yours when managing cases and ensuring accuracy of information of data within formal reports. 

You’ll also need   

  • Experience in end-to-end case management
  • Experience in providing advice and guidance on workplace investigations including in relation to Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying. Ideally experience running an investigation process yourself as well would be favourable 
  • Experience with key external bodies including Fair Work Commission 
  • Navigating the industrial landscape to effectively manage cases
  • Conducting a sound investigation by demonstrating critical thinking (analyse, interpret, evaluate) and make a judgement
  • Supporting People Leader capability development for investigations
