About the opportunity  

The Delivery Manager manages the operations of a Delivery Centre and associated network effectively and professionally, in order to achieve a high quality, reliable, efficient and cost-effective delivery service.

 

You’ll also

  • Lead by example to motivate staff to work as one team encompassing the enterprise values and develop a “customer first” service culture
  • On a daily basis, direct and control all processing and support activities to ensure service standards, operational and performance objectives are met
  • Monitor mail/parcel delivery and analyse performance against the delivery plan, and analyse major trends and key performance indicators over time
  • Facilitate change and innovation within the workplace, including implementation and monitoring of processes and systems
  • Drive a ‘Zero’ Safety Culture
  • Build Employee Engagement through transformational leadership
  • Continuously seek to reduce costs and improve service performance 

 

About you  

  • We’re looking for candidates that are motivated and able to bring the best out of people under their leadership. 

 

You’ll also need

  • A demonstrated ability to create a safety culture and lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Experience in managing industrial relations conflicts and union negotiations.
  • People management experience in a logistics, retail or operational environment across multiple shifts.
  • Capability to foster positive outcomes through stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proficiency in facilitating change in a high-pressure business environment.
  • Leadership experience in implementing cost reductions and efficiency initiatives.
  • Strong financial/business management knowledge, including KPIs.
  • Commitment to upholding HR policies and procedures.
