About the opportunity
As a Duty Manager at StarTrack, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence. This dynamic role gives you the chance to enhance network efficiency and lead the team to achieve outstanding service delivery. You’ll ensure compliance while implementing change and fostering a culture that thrives on safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. With your leadership, the team will push boundaries to improve performance, drive down costs, and optimize the network.
What you’ll deliver with us
You’ll be accountable for managing day-to-day operations at the Branch, driving efficient transport operations, and meeting service delivery targets across the board. Reporting to the Facility Manager, your expertise will help guide the team in achieving the highest standards in safety, compliance, and performance.
You’ll also
• Lead and implement safety compliance plans across the network
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimise network operations
• Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring top-tier service and delivery
• Manage and improve financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgets
• Engage with key stakeholders to maintain relationships and deliver on business outcomes
About you
We’re looking for a passionate leader with a deep understanding of logistics operations, transport compliance, and safety. You’re a proactive change-maker, comfortable leading teams and managing complex operational challenges. Your ability to think strategically, coupled with hands-on problem-solving, will make a significant impact on StarTrack’s success.
You’ll also need
• A thorough understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) in a transport context
• Proven ability to manage operational challenges and drive continuous improvement
• Strong experience in managing budgets, performance targets, and HR matters
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building relationships
• At least 8 years of operational management experience, preferably in logistics or transport
• Work hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (flexible based on business needs)
