What you’ll deliver with us

The senior project manager plans, controls and manages the delivery of IT project(s), or IT component or an enterprise project, over the full project lifecycle (design, build, test, deployment), to meet the agreed business needs, identifying and utilising the necessary IT resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.


  • Own and manage the end‑to‑end transition of a large scale transformation program (CXT) from project delivery into BAU operations, ensuring a controlled and low‑risk handover.
  • Define and lock down clear roles and responsibilities across Enterprise Services (ES) platform teams, including the delineation between platform and application ownership across SAP, Salesforce, and Adobe.
  • Translate transition and operating requirements into a clear Statement of Work (SoW) and partner engagement model, working closely with SI and delivery partners.
  • Lead and manage the onboarding of transition resources, ensuring they are set up for success and integrated into delivery and BAU teams.
  • Support executive and senior leadership by developing, communicating, and socialising the transition plan across ES and broader stakeholder groups.
  • Work closely with business  and technology teams to define their responsibilities in the new platform model, including what the business can configure, operate, and manage versus what remains with technology teams.
  • Ensure ServiceNow is appropriately configured and transition‑ready, including downstream resolver groups, support models, and supplier integration for the CXT environment.



Strategy Execution and Customer

  • Leads, plans and manages the delivery of business technology initiatives for the Australia Post business. 
  • Adheres to Project Management Framework, Tools, Processes and Reporting principles.
  • Ensures Project Management Plan including the Project Schedule with Deliverables, Milestones and Dates is agreed and signed off, and aligns to the Business Project Management Plan and Project Schedule.
  • Ensures appropriate Governance frameworks and accountabilities are defined and actively in place, and align to the Business Project Governance. 
  • Ensures commercial risk management is actively practised in delivery of projects.
  • Communicates status and meets customer representatives regularly to monitor progress against issues and to ensure that an agreed level of service is maintained and publish performance and service improvement results

  • Ability to manage wide range of stakeholders with different agendas and priorities
  • Patient and flexible able to adapt and manage conflict and change effectively
  • Supports process improvement where applicable to continuously improve project delivery within the portfolio
  • Supports where required to lead and deliver inputs and outcomes for idea and evaluation phases in estimation collation and business case development
